cgicc minor issue in Fedora Core 6

cgicc

Just a small linking issue in GNU cgicc library.

Target

Download and install the latest GNU cgicc library (http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/cgicc/cgicc-3.2.4.tar.gz)

History

Use wget to fetch the library and extract it

Tied to issue the ./configure command and the error was : configure: error: cannot find install-sh or install.sh in support “.”/support

In support directory the install-sh file was linked to automake(version 10) directory : install-sh -> /usr/share/automake-1.10/install-sh

Did a yum update without getting any new automake.

Removed the install-sh, depcomp and missing link and set the link to the one found in the system (FC5) :

rm install-sh

rm depcomp

rm missing

ln -s /usr/share/automake-1.9/install-sh install-sh

ln -s /usr/share/automake-1.9/depcomp depcomp

ln -s /usr/share/automake-1.9/missing missing

Issued the ../ to get to the initial directory and used ./configured (successfully this time)

Move on…
